Guided Tour of Union Chapel

SATURDAY 20 SEPTEMBER, 10-11am

Take a walk within our walls and learn about the 200+ year history, ongoing building conservation, what events you can come enjoy, and our plans for our future as we continue our work for culture, community, heritage and social justice.

All guided tours include an intro to our unique and historic organ.

The organ at Union Chapel was designed & built specially for the size and acoustics of the new Chapel building in 1877 by master organ builder Henry 'Father' Willis. It is one of very few organs left in the UK with a fully working water hydraulics and is undoubtedly one of the finest organs in the world. Since its full restoration in 2012 Union Chapel has been committed to introducing different age groups & different skill levels to the instrument as they endeavour to create a smooth & supported path from childhood to professional organ performance and composition of all genres.

Book free tickets here from 20 August

Why not stay with us after your guided tour to take in our free organ recital at 12pm?

Miss out on tickets? We also offer free entrance at the door for self-guided tour of the chapel without booking, with additional Children's Activity Pack available for curious young minds to discover more.

All attendees are welcome to join us in our bar to take in behind-the-scenes mini documentaries about Union Chapel's work and architecture.
