'Welcome' to Union Chapel, a progressive church in Islington

We are a community of Christians of diverse backgrounds committed to living lives that are spiritual, sustainable and responsive to the Gospel’s prophetic call for justice and peace.

Based in the historic setting of Union Chapel in Islington, we are an alternative Christian space for reflection, community building, public theology, creative worship, reconciliation and changemaking. Our programme promotes racial, social, economic and climate justice from the perspective of our radical Christian faith.

We are open, in the Spirit, to receive people of whatever starting point, whether new to Christianity, enthusiastic for making the Gospel real in our society, nursing past wounds of rejection by a faith community, or just wanting to roll up your sleeves and do the work.

We hold services on site and in person every Sunday at 11am.
