This hustings will give an opportunity for people in Islington South and Finsbury to meet the Parliamentary candidates for their constituency and hold them to account on important local and global concerns.

We are in a time of seismic shifts in both local and global politics, which we hope to address in this hustings. Cost of living, immigration, NHS, green energy, issues of global violence and repression. There is no upper limit to the troubles faced both by people in the UK, and by people around the world. We believe that the upcoming election presents an opportunity for ordinary people to hold those who will be our elected officials to account on the most important issues which face us all today.
Union Chapel is a well known landmark in Islington South, and an institution at the centre of art, community and awareness raising on political and social issues in the constituency.
We will conduct the hustings by asking people attending to write questions on cards in advance, which our meeting’s chair, Rev. Vaughan Jones, will cluster and read out to the candidates, with a focus on local and international issues.
