Kris Barras announces a unique evening of unplugged material in the grandiose acoustic of the famous Union Chapel in London on Friday 31st January 2025.

Union Chapel has hosted everyone from Opeth to Adele, U2 to Ed Sheeran and is the perfect setting for KBB fans to enjoy an exclusive extended set list of fresh unplugged arrangements of KBB material and more.

Kris will be accompanied by Josiah J Manning, his long-time collaborator and the co-writer/producer of Halo Effect, for an extended evening of unplugged renditions unlike anything Kris has ever performed before.

During the intense campaign for Kris’ latest album Halo Effect, which hit #5 in the official UK album chart alongside Beyonce and Linkin Park, Kris and Josiah toured every corner of the UK performing in-acoustic at record stores. Together with a special edition of the new album with added unplugged material, these versions of Kris’ songs became very cherished by the fans and by Kris himself; “we had the time of our life meeting the fans and performing these songs stripped-back for the fans, this just felt like the best way to put together something new and special and really book-end this unforgettable chapter of my career as an artist”.

These poignant, stripped-back versions helped to inspire Earache Records to put together a new compilation Piano That Rocks (released 23rd August). This will be the first time that piano versions of Kris’ singles such as Secrets, Hourglass and Landslide will be available on vinyl!

Kris’ relationship with acoustic material is long-standing, with his 2020 CoVid lockdown ‘Box Room Sessions’ lighting up Youtube. Then in 2022, when a support band pulled out at the last minute, Kris and Josiah even ‘opened for themselves’ with an acoustic set on their own headline UK tour.
