From Catherine Harris

Catherine Harris is Organist at the Parish of St Maximilian Kolbe, Leeds and has just finished reading Music at the University of Leeds. Throughout her studies she enjoyed exploring the collaborative aspects of making music: co-founding a chamber choir, Solstice, sound engineering shows with Leeds University Backstage Society and organising the Historically Informed Summer School. During her internship with Diocese of Leeds Music, Catherine produced and designed the 2020 Leeds International Organ Festival online recitals and ‘Pipe Up! The Organ Podcast’. Catherine is enthusiastic about working with young people and is currently enjoying building up her instrumental teaching. She loves learning new instruments (most recently the accordion and flute), which is one of the main reasons she is passionate about the organ - every organ is a completely different instrument!
