All your questions answered
Thank you for becoming a Member of Union Chapel. Watch below for a tutorial of how to get started with your digital card and portal
I've become a member! When I can I receive my Digital Membership Card and access to the Digital Portal?
Please allow five working days to receive your digital card and portal, but check your inbox as we aim for delivery ahead of this time period
How do I add the membership card to my iPhone?
Access the email from your smartphone and click the "Download" button, then click "Add to Wallet" and "Add." The card will automatically go to your iPhone’s Apple Wallet. It can be accessed in Wallet at any time.
How do I add the membership card to my Android phone?
Android users need to download Wallet Passes from Google Play. After you have the app, access the email from your smartphone and click “Download” in the membership email, and the card will automatically go to your Wallet Passes app, where it can be accessed at any time.
Will I receive a physical membership card?
To improve sustainability as well as to maintain affordable membership costs, we will be replacing our previous physical membership cards with a new digital system. Digital membership cards can be downloaded onto your phone on either Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, or Wallet Passes app to display to staff to claim your membership benefits.
Members are also able to print off their membership card if they would prefer or do not have a smartphone. To do so, open your 'Your Digital Card' email, scroll down to the bottom to click the 'Download Membership Card' link, then click 'print a physical copy', as shown in this image
You may be asked to provide proof of ID, such as a bank card, when redeeming your Membership benefits
I don’t have a mobile phone, what can I do?
Members are also able to print off confirmation of their membership if they would prefer.

I downloaded my card but I can’t find it.
If you have an iPhone, the card will automatically download to Apple Wallet. Check the app for your new card (scroll through any cards that are already there--it may be hiding!). If you have an Android, you’ll need to download Wallet Passes from the Play Store prior to downloading the card.

Why is Membership £45 a year?
Our membership enables audiences to connect closely with our work while providing vital financial support to our community projects and cultural activities. Since our membership launched almost 10 years ago, our work has grown in scale, delivering more exceptional live music and performances, innovative conservation projects and supporting more people from our local community experiencing crisis and disadvantage. Despite this growth our membership fees remained the same. In 2023, we increased the price of our membership to reflect the value of the benefits offered, including new benefits, and the increased demand on our services because of the cost-of-living crisis, and to be more in line with the wider industry standard membership. You can learn more about our conservation & community work here and through The Margins Project page here
