Union Chapel Church’s annual Christmas Carol Service tells the story of the birth of Jesus in words, poetry and prayer. In the wonderful atmosphere of our iconic Chapel, lit entirely by candlelight, this service is a moment of calm and reflection away from the busyness of the Christmas season.
The service will include traditional carols together with well-known Gospel Christmas classics. The music will be interspersed with spoken word, meditation and prayer, which will tell the amazing story of Christmas.
Music will be provided by Union Chapel Voices, directed by Masashi Fujimoto, our in-house vocal group who are gaining an excellent reputation from the stunning performances in the Chapel.
A quartet of singers will perform the traditional carols and a chorus from The Messiah by Handel.
Musical accompaniment will be provided by a string quartet and Anthony Fort, Union Chapel organist.
And of course…we hope that you too will join in the singing of popular carols.
The service will be led by Rev Vaughan Jones, Minister of Union Chapel.
You are advised to come in good time to avoid disappointment.
