Union Chapel would like to create a digital record of life under lockdown, with creative contributions from you! 

We’d like you to send us photos, songs, tunes, poems and tell us about your experiences. Serious, sad, reflective or funny – all are welcome. We’ll try and share as much as you have sent us as possible, providing a means of connection to the outside world and each other, as we all spend more time indoors.

We’ll hold an online exhibition showcasing your creative submissions and when it’s safe to do so we will host a celebratory event at Union Chapel where everyone who has sent their work in will be invited to come along.

Iraj's Life Experience

A Steward's tale

The evening we shut for good I was the last Steward working at Union Chapel, turning away the few stragglers who had not heard the news about the shut down. This was mid March. Since then I have had 6 months of travel plans cancel & have been on my own at home pretty much the whole time. 

To use my time I have rediscovered photography & found a passion for shooting the stars. On any clear night I am on my back step setting up cameras & hoping that the clouds will not arrive.
