Sunday Worship - 23rd January: Remembering Archbishop Desmond Tutu

Remembering Archbishop Desmond Tutu

Sunday Worship - 23rd January

Archbishop Desmond Tutu was one of the most inspiring Christians of our times.  His death at the age of 90 gives us cause to celebrate a life well lived and his witness to the way of Jesus.  Here at Union Chapel, we will commemorate his life and commit ourselves to ensuring his legacy is not forgotten during our Sunday Service on September 23rd at 11.00am

The service will reflect Union Chapel’s commitment to racial justice and LGBTQ rights which were dear to Archbishop Tutu’s heart.

One of the Musical Directors of Union Chapel Voices is Luyanda Jezile who knew Archbishop Tutu.  Luyanda will give a personal tribute both in words and music.

Other music will be provided by: Maya Sapone, Maria Willis, Masashi Fujimoto, Yuki Okuyama and Anthony Fort.

The service will be led by Rev Vaughan Jones.
