A 19th century Victorian Gothic chapel; stunning surroundings to get you into the Christmassy mood. From an atmospheric, candlelit, free carol service to buzzing Winter party vibes of country, folk, jazz, soul, and more - see what's in store this December at your local architectural gem and celebrate the closing of the year with us.
Carols By Candlelight | Sunday 22 December | 6pm | FREE
One of London’s most popular festiive events, Carols by Candlelight will see the Chapel lit by candles, and a packed audience singing well-known Christmas carols. Throughout the evening, the story of the birth of Jesus will be told in spoken word, prayer and music from Union Chapel Voices, Union Chapel Singers, instrumentalists, and actors. Join in this community tradition.
This is a hugely popular and free event, so it is advised to arrive early for 6pm doors to avoid disappointment and save the date now.
A Festive Evening with Jacob Collier | Thursday 12 December
The six-time GRAMMY winner brings a cosy, improvised solo show filled with festive flare and audience choir participation, much akin to his latest release 'Three Christmas Songs', in a wintry end-of-year celebration.
Country Hits Live Christmas Special | Saturday 14 December
Christmas classics with a country twist performed by a cast of multi award-winning musicians and singers filling up our Chapel, fronted by UK Country singer Jade Helliwell and Nashville's own Lars Pluto. Celebrate the festive season Nashville style live in London.
Britten and Bach at Christmas | Sunday 15 December
Eclectic Voices will be joined by world-renowned tenor Adrian Thompson plus special guests Highbury Youth Choir and baritone Jonathan Eyers. Celebrate with performances of stunning pieces by Britten, Bach, Eric Whitacre and Scott Stroman.

Level 42 co-founder and keyboardist brings his solo work with a full plan of soul, deep funk, jazz riffs and disco vibes, tied together with his melodic magic, engaging lyrics, and unmatched stage presence.
Union Chapel is also home to the charity The Margins Project, supporting those facing homelessness and crisis. This Christmas, we will host a Margins Christmas lunch for our guests facing homelessness and pertinent social justice issues. We anticipate over 100 people will join us for a nutritious meal in a warm and welcoming environment and community and companionship. Proceeds from gigs and events held at Union Chapel go to supporting this vital work.
