Asylum and refugees project

Asylum and refugees project

We have a small yet very dedicated team working regularly with asylum seekers living in government funded hotels. Our team works to check the conditions of people living in the hotels. We advocate for improved living conditions in accomodations, and support people's mental health. We host ESOL classes to help improve people’s English skills, along with social activities including football and cricket sessions, hands-on workshops, and the opportunity to see any live events at Union Chapel. We are also regularly seeking volunteering opportunities for people living in the hotels. We help asylum seekers to receive legal aid to win their asylum cases from various organizations we’re partnered with, including Praxis, and we work closely with Islington Council, and their Islington Together team.

We are also regularly seeking volunteers and donations to help with our work. If you would like to volunteer with us on this project or offer us any donations, please contact [email protected] or [email protected].

If you are worried about recent announcements of the government about Rwanda – here are some helpful links for advice and information.
