BLUE CHRISTMAS | Wednesday 14 December | FREE
A space for quiet reflection, prayer, and meditation. We know that while Christmas is a time of new birth, it can also be a time of anxiety and sadness. We think of loved ones who may be living away from us, or those who have died. Maybe our personal circumstances are tough, and we cannot afford to join in the excesses of the season. Or we feel the need to avoid the sentimentality and commercialism without obscuring the beautiful message which comes from faith. This is a quieter service sensitive to people who need time in a reflective space during this season and will inclue music, poetry, and meditation, led by Rev Vaughan Jones with organist Anthony Fort
CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT The Mystery of Christmas | Sunday 18 December | FREE arrive in good time to avoid disappointment
In the wonderful, candlelit atmosphere, Rev Vaughan Jones leads this service is a moment of calm and reflection away from the bustle of the Christmas season, including traditional carols together with well-known Gospel Christmas classics, interspersed with spoken word, meditation and prayer telling the amazing story of Christmas.
