Audience Information

Statement to audiences regarding restrictions.

Union Chapel is looking forward to welcoming you for this upcoming performance.

Whilst legislation has changed, we are adopting government guidance and continuing with various measures to make sure our venue is a Covid-secure space for you to enjoy events in once again.

The majority of our events are now being sold to full capacity. Following the Government guidelines, we have made changes in our venue, to ensure our venue is Covid-secure.

Please remember, it is important you do not attend if:

•       You believe you may be infected with COVID-19

•       Have experienced symptoms in the last 10 days

•       Been in close proximity to anyone who has experienced symptoms in the last 10 days

•       Have arrived in England in the last 10 days from a country where UK quarantine restrictions apply

•       Have been instructed to self-isolate.

Do I need to show Covid status on entry?

Union Chapel encourages voluntary lateral flow tests before attending events in order to keep fellow gig-goers, staff and performers safe.

Free lateral flow tests can be ordered online and are also available from local pharmacies.

Audience capacity

The majority of our events are being sold to full capacity of 900 people in the Chapel. When moving around the building, please keep 1m+ physical distance from staff and others where you can.

Queuing

You will need to queue outside when you arrive at the venue. Please keep 2m physical distance from staff and others when queuing.

NHS Test & Trace App

All tickets holders will be encouraged to check in using the NHS ‘Test & Trace’ upon arrival to Union Chapel or, failing that, a paper version provided by a Union Chapel representative.

This is for Test & Trace purposes, and ensuring all customers check in helps us to keep operating as a live music space.

Will I need to wear a face covering?

We recommend and expect that visitors continue to wear face masks during your visit, particularly when you are moving around the building or speaking with members of staff.

Official government guidance states that the government “expects and recommends that face coverings are worn in crowded and enclosed spaces and when mixing with people you don’t normally meet.”

If you are exempt from wearing a face covering, please download an exemption badge to your phone, or print a copy off.

Hand sanitiser

We will have multiple hand sanitiser stations throughout the venue and encourage customers to use these regularly. All customers will be required to use our hand sanitiser station in the foyer when they enter the venue.

Ventilation

Union Chapel is a large, airy space, and is naturally well-ventilated by its historic yet pioneering design benefits from a Victorian ventilation system for the entire chapel, which allows fresh air to circulate constantly through the chapel.

Additional Cleaning

We will continue to have additional cleaning in place before and between events.

Bar & Refreshments

There will be no bar operating and/or refreshments to purchase onsite at this time.

There will be water available onsite, and we recommend you bring bottled water into the event.

Re-entry

Union Chapel operates a strict no re-entry policy.

Cloakroom

Our cloakroom is closed for these events.

Margins Café

Our catering service will be closed for these events.
