A fifteen-year career, multiple chart-topping records and just as many sold-out tours across clubs, theatres, and arenas: Dario Brunori – known as Brunori Sas – is one of the most acclaimed artists in the contemporary Italian singer-songwriter scene. His unmistakable blend of emotional depth and irony, paired with a poetic style that turns everyday life into pure emotion, sets him apart.
Following his standout performance at the 75th Sanremo Music Festival with the podium finish song L’albero delle noci – already certified Gold and awarded with the Bardotti Prize for Best Lyrics – Brunori released his 10-track self-titled album (under Island Records), produced by Riccardo Sinigallia. After a sold-out tour across Italy’s top arenas and a show on the unique stage at Circo Massimo in Rome, it’s now time for L’ALBERO DELLE NOCI – SUMMER TOUR 2025: an open-air concert series that will bring Brunori’s music to Italy’s most prestigious venues and summer festivals until August 23rd. The celebrations for his 15-year career will reach its peak in conjunction with a special Live with Orchestra on October 3rd at the Arena in Verona, a show produced by Vivo Concerti.
Hailing from the Cosenza area, Brunori Sas debuted in 2009 with Vol. 1, a genuine Italian songbook that earned him the Ciampi Prize. In 2011 he followed up with Vol. 2: Poveri cristi, marked by a bittersweet and hopeful tone rooted in the traditional Italian melodic songwriting. The following year, he composed the original score for Lucio Pellegrini’s film È nata una star?
In 2014, he released Vol. 3: Il Cammino di Santiago in Taxi, which launched him into the top 10 of the Italian sales charts, driven by the success of tracks like Arrivederci tristezza and Kurt Cobain (Gold-certified). The related tour sold out clubs across the country. After his theatrical tour Brunori Srl – Una società a responsabilità limitata, he released the 2016 single La verità, which gained the Platinum certification and won the Targa Tenco title in the Best Song category.
His fourth studio album, A casa tutto bene (Platinum certified), was released in 2017 and includes Canzone contro la paura (Gold certified) and L’uomo nero, which won the Amnesty International Italy Award in 2018 for Best Human Rights Song. That same year, he brought to life Brunori a teatro: Monologhi e canzoni sull’incertezza, a unique theatrical experience mixing monologues and music. He also wrote and hosted the acclaimed TV show Brunori Sa on Rai3 – a five-episode reflection on the desires, fears, and contradictions of a generation in transition.
In 2019, he launched the singles Al di là dell’amore (Gold certified) and Per due che come noi (Platinum certified), ahead of the release of Cip! in January 2020 – an album that got certified Platinum and earned him the Tenco Prize for Best Album. That same year, he won both the Nastro d’Argento and Ciak d’Oro titles for Best Original Soundtrack for the movie Odio l’estate by Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo.
To complete what he calls the “robin trilogy”, in 2021 he released Baby Cip! – a lullaby-inspired vinyl reinterpretation of Cip!, dedicated to his daughter Fiammetta – followed by the 2022 EP Cheap!, featuring five intimate, “homemade” songs. The Brunori Sas Tour 2022 saw him once again hit the stages of Italy’s most prominent arenas and summer festivals.
In 2023 – a year that began with the awarding of the Targa Faber – his song La vita com’è was featured on the soundtrack of Il più bel secolo della mia vita, a movie by Alessandro Bardani starring Sergio Castellitto and Valerio Lundini.
