The Fantasy Orchestra return to The Union Chapel, this time performing their psychedelic repertoire, including a bunch of Hendrix, a bit of Beatles, a smattering of The Doors, a soupcon of Os Mutantes, and a generous helping of other mind-expanding sounds.
Be prepared to be:
ðŸ ASTOUNDED to hear Jimi's classic guitar solos recreated on flutes and clarinets
🄠BLISSED OUT by our heavenly choir
🌈 AMAZED as our string section down their bows and float into the stratosphere
🚀 BLOWN AWAY by a cosmic array of shiny bright colourful hand woven outfits
It's a night of fun for the whole family!
The Fantasy Orchestra is an international community orchestra with branches in Bristol, Hebdon Bridge, Paris, and Nantes. 60+ instrumentalists and singers take the stage in a spirit of easygoing meticulousness and carefully arranged improvisation.
We'll be doing two sets, the first from a variety of 60s groups and the second a homage to Jimi Hendrix and his First Rays Of The New Rising Sun venture, a project which he was working on at the time of his untimely demise in 1970.
Psychedelic-fancy-dressed attendees will get a free gift from our merch shop (probably a badge).
